25 Free Art Museums in and Around Los Angeles

What could be better than a cultural afternoon? A free cultural afternoon.

While the Museum of Contemporary Art has announced that it will begin free admission on January 11, we’ve rounded up a sampling of other art museums in or around Los Angeles that offer free admission year-round or some days. Some institutions offer free admission under additional circumstances (for visitors over a certain age, for example, or active jurors), and some charge for special exhibits. Check the websites for more details.
